3 hours session, building your independence at home, travel, and where life leads you.  

*Minimum session fee applies. 

Fee: $81+ per session

Fee: add $27+ per hour to extend the session. (Based on availability and support level required)

 The Hang Out is a 3hr + social group that works on friendship building. 

TeachAbility will attend the outing with your group or organize a small group of similar interests.

• Do you want to meet others but find it hard to make friendships?

•  Go on an outing together in Durham Region.

• Example of outings: Movies, Theatre/Play, Beach, Restaurant and or Karaoke.

• 5+ people per group is required to run The Hang Out. Up to 10 people.

• Fee is customized with outings and support level needed.

Are you ready to stay home alone? This 3+hour course is facilitated by TeachAbility with certification provided from the Canda Safety Council, in an accessible learning room in Durham Region (dates pending)

People who are 10 years and older with or without a disability are welcome to attend. The program is 3 hours, however if you require extra help with the materials and extra assistance with 1:1 verbal prompt so that you can be successful, we can customize it to your abilities.

1. (3 Hour) Course cost: $70-includes a workbook and a certificate mailed out to you. ​(This section is best suited for people who are independent and do not require 1:1 support and are comfortable with 3hours of learning for completion)

2. (4 hour) Course cost: $85-includes a workbook and a certificate mailed out to you. This course is taught with more pictures and prompting to learn at a more comfortable pace)

3. (Direct 1:1 while attending the 4-hour class) Support while taking this course can be arranged, at an alternate fee. Staff from TeachAbility will sit with you 1:1 while in the 4-hour course. 

We will come to your home. At TeachAbility we recognize that sometimes,  support is needed in the home, for various circumstances.

1. TeachAbility will stay at your home. Fee is based on support level required for 1 night.
